tomoe At first I gave this one a miss because of it's awful album art, but this is actually a brilliant album, my favorite by DR777 I think. I'd say it's "upbeat, but slightly off". Even on the most catchy tracks, there's something weird going on in the background which isn't quite right. This is good, because it makes the album hard to put down AND unnerving. I would say that the tracks with samples feel a bit out of place, but they're still catchy so who cares right? Every track is good. Favorite track: Tic Tac.

There’s an obsession with repetition as well as with “kit” in this EP. Experimentations with short, choppy loops and segments that function almost like instruments in themselves. It evokes the same sort of techniques that you would be using midi-boards for reconstructions, but with an added layer of precision and more built off of it, using the most complex part of its compositions not as the focus, but in the background, humble. There really is nothing else quite like Kartna’s music. Cardian Matsu
